To celebrate their Vista release, Microsoft and AMD have teamed up for the “Vanishing Point” sweepstakes with the grand prize winner going on a sub-orbital space ride with Rocketplane Limited Inc. There is also nearly a half million dollars in prize money available.
The game is based on international events and puzzle solving. You can either show up in person when the countdown hits zero or catch video of the location to try to find the puzzle pieces. There are 12 puzzles each week to solve.
Some of the prizes are:
- 15 loaded AMD based computers with Windows Vista Ultimate, devices and games
- Devices (75): a Windows Vista Ultimate, and one of the following: an Xbox 360, Zune, or iRiver Clix.
- Software (150): Windows Vista Ultimate, or Office Ultimate 2007.
- Games (250): three Games for Windows game titles
